Valley Sensation is the story of a group of friends accidentally becoming internet famous after one drunken night while trying to pay for a massive rent hike.
I chose to make Valley Sensation because I noticed a lot of films I have been seeing lately were so depressing, it seems like people don't want to have fun anymore. It started off as a conversation I had with my roommate at the time about the rent hikes that were happening all around us in North Hollywood.
Directing it was a blast. I had a lot of fun with the cast and making the characters come to life. Kory and Ron were great at playing off each other and even came up with some great ideas that made it into the final cut of the movie and Kasi and Natalia also did the same and went with it. There is a particular scene where they get covered in mustard and after it was over they came over and gave me a hug.
